Established for over 25 years, SJM Ltd offer the highest quality services to both private residential / domestic clients and commercial clients alike. Over the years and to date, we are still involved in the restoration of many heritage & historic buildings in London and the UK.
Our head office is based in Kent. Most of our operatives live in London and the Home Counties where most of our trade takes place. However, many projects have been carried out all over Europe.
During our 25 years trading, our reputation has continued to grow and we have become one of the leading French polishing companies in Great Britain; our knowledge and expertise are constantly being sought after by architects and main-contractors whenever clarification and advice is needed for the maintenance and restoration of timber joinery in the new build and listed building markets alike.
With a great wealth of experience on board our reputation is continuing to grow in the specialist finishing trade.
Our knowledge and expertise of all aspects of the trade is a huge advantage and makes us one of the leading contractors in the UK for specialist finishes working with some well-established designers and contractors as we continue to grow.
Our team of skilled workers are recognised as some of the best in the profession and can always be found working on historic and contemporary buildings, carrying out full restoration works and hard surface repairs. Ranging from fully french polished finish to gilding ceiling and specialist decoration work. In 2007 we were honored to be granted the royal warrant by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for projects carried out for the Royal household and it was extended in 2016 for a further 5 years.
Following our restoration works at Windsor Castle after the fire in 1997, we received a personal letter from the Queen thanking us for our endeavours in helping bring the castle back to it's former glory. We were also presented with a limited edition medal, struck exclusively for presentation to the craftsmen who worked on this extraordinary project.
