Specialist Plaster Finishes

Specialist plaster finishes have long been associated with some of Britain’s most prestigious interiors, bringing elegance, craftsmanship, and architectural character to both heritage and contemporary spaces. At SJM French Polishing & Specialist Decoration Ltd, we specialise in the restoration, creation, and finishing of bespoke plaster features for luxury residential, hospitality, heritage, and commercial projects.

Our specialist craftsmen deliver a wide range of plaster finishes and decorative detailing, including cornices, ceiling roses, panel mouldings, feature ceilings, columns, wall details, and bespoke architectural elements. Whether restoring original period features or producing new decorative schemes, every project is completed with exceptional attention to detail and a respect for traditional craftsmanship.

Combining traditional methods with modern finishing techniques, we work with a variety of materials including lime plaster, polished plaster, Venetian finishes, and bespoke textured coatings to create refined surfaces with depth and character. These finishes can range from subtle and understated to bold statement features, adding warmth, movement, and timeless elegance to an interior.

Our specialist plaster finishes are often complemented by specialist decorative techniques including gilding, faux finishes, patination, marbling, and bespoke paint effects, allowing us to create truly tailored finishes that integrate seamlessly within the wider interior design scheme.
